Karen<br />\r\n          Lee Ottesen was born on November\r\n          28,<br />\r\n          1944 in New London, CT to Martin and<br />\r\n          Vivian. She was a teacher\r\n          for the<br />\r\n          Washougal School District for the past 20<br />\r\n          years.</p>\r\n</td>\r\n      </tr>\r\n      <tr>\r\n        <td colspan=\"3\" valign=\"top\" scope=\"row\"><p>Karen is survived by her\r\n            husband John Gay of 42 years. She is also<br />\r\n            survived by \r\nher mother, Vivian; and her children Marvina (Methven)<br />\r\nBugajski, Theresa (Hunt)\r\nDeal, Boone Methven, James Capps,<br />\r\nDarcee (Hunt) Miller, Shannan (Hunt) Blystone\r\n            and Karena (Hunt)<br />\r\n            Block; also 35 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren,\r\n            her  sister<br />\r\n            Marcha Dean, numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.</p>\r\n<p>\r\nIn addition to the love and time Karen spent with her family and<br />\r\nfriends, she\r\n  also sponsored children from Guatemala, Dominican<br />\r\n  Republic and Africa.</p>\r\n<p>She was preceded in death by her daughter, Monica Methven<br />\r\n  (1963), Grandchildren\r\n  Monika and Miles Bugajski (1996), her<br />\r\n  father, Martin Ottesen (2003), her son,\r\n  Michael Brian Gay (2007).</p>\r\n<p>Karen was involved in many youth enrichment programs. She will be<br />\r\n  missed by\r\n  her family, as she had a huge heart and truly cared and<br />\r\n  loved her family, and\r\n  friends, and students.
